General Meetings are open to prospective members and are held the second Wednesday of each month, September through May.  Social time begins at 6:30pm followed by the business meeting at 7:00 pm.

ATTENTION TEENS:  Safety Town & Safety Camp Need You!

The Cedarburg Junior Women’s Club is now accepting applications for teen volunteers for its 2012 Summer Safety Programs.

Safety Town

  • Teen volunteers must be at least entering 7th grade this fall.
  • Teen volunteers must attend the full two week session (8 days).
  • Three sessions will be offered: 8-10am, 10:30-12:30, 1:30-3:30pm

Safety Camp

  • Teen volunteers must be at least entering 8th grade this fall
  • Teen volunteers must be available for the full 6 hour day
  • A properly sized, street safe bike, water bottle & helmet are required
  • Five sessions are offered; each run from 9am – 3pm
  • Volunteers may sign up for one or more days

A thirty minute mandatory Safety Town Orientation Meeting will be held at the Faith Lutheran Church on Friday, June 8, 2012 at 3:00 pm.  Safety Camp Orientations will be held prior to each session at 8:40 am.

This is a great opportunity to work with children and collect service hours!!  Town volunteers will receive 20 service hours and Camp volunteers will receive 6½ service hours per session.  Besides the smiles and hugs from the children, you will also receive an official t-shirt and thank-you certificates.

 SAFETY TOWN

June 11-21, 2012

The Cedarburg Junior Woman’s Club and the Cedarburg Police Department will be offering a safety instruction program for children entering Kindergarten in the fall.  This two-week course (eight days total) consists of large and small group discussions, songs, videos, games and activities focusing on many types of safety.  Field trips and an outdoor street safety course are included. 

Three sessions are offered:

8:00-10:00am         10:30-12:30pm          1:30-3:30pm

Faith Lutheran Church, N35 W6621 Wilson Ave, Cedarburg

Classes meet every day, Monday through Thursday, for two weeks beginning June 11 and ending June 21.  The cost of the program is $45* (*non refundable fee includes cost of t-shirt)

SAFETY CAMP

June 11, 12, 13, 14 or 15, 2012

 The Cedarburg Junior Woman’s Club and the Cedarburg Police Department will be offering a safety refresher program for children entering grades 3 and 4 in the fall.  Children attending these ONE-DAY sessions will be riding their bikes throughout Cedarburg, learning bike, playground, park, and pool safety rules, as well as stranger awareness.

Classes are scheduled 9am – 3pm on these days:

Tuesday 6/12
Wed  6/13
Thursday 6/14
Friday 6/15

The cost of the program is $25* per child

Each participant must be able to ride a street-safe bike without training wheels or assistance and must bring his / her bike and helmet on the scheduled day of class.
